A little Cincy Zoo love!

Man, what a beautiful day today was and incredibly enough still is! The temps peaked at about 77 degrees and the sun was out and shining.

Nick and I spend the majority of the day at the Cincy Zoo. We had gotten there when the zoo opened and enjoyed ourselves imensly as there wasn't much of a crowd there yet.

We were fortunate to see the baby giraffe and the baby okapi. Nick got to hear on of the male white lions roar, which was very cool. The bird of prey nerd inside me was ecstatic because I got to see a pair of Stellar sea eagles. :)

Here are a few more pics from today. If you want to see the rest of my zoo pics, check out the set on my Flickr page!

Enjoy!

I haven't been to the zoo in forever. I can't wait to go this spring, we'll be heading to the Calgary Zoo in May It will be the daughter's first trip to the zoo and I think I'm more excited than she is.

Angela, thanks!

Empty, yea, it was 77 degrees that day. A perfect day! Spring is coming...yay! :)

TMC, zoos are great aren't they? Definitely a place where you can escape to different regions of the world!

Meekiyu, that's really cool about the peregrines in NYC. You guys have that famous redtail hawk pair too. Pale Male & his girl, I believe. Don't they live by Central Park?

I love going to the zoo! Everyone else hates it, because I take forever taking photos. My friends had to wait 20 minutes once while I photographed the penguins lol oops!

Just wanted to let you know, there's an award waiting for you on my blog!
